Community Poem: The Hills I am from a sea of vivid colors, lighting up the streets through art From Giorgino’s famous cheesesteaks melting in my mouth And sharing memories on a plaid picnic blanket in the middle of Pioneer Park I am from driving down Sunset Boulevard at night when the stars light up the road I am from fun crowded festivals with creepy clowns and friends wearing tutus on bikes From the only cafe where you can take the stage too I am from the historic district And Bertrand at Mister A’s I am from big, bright murals with popping colors As I walk down the street lined with houses that take you back in time In Heritage Park where ghosts lurk in the graveyard And the suspension bridge, long and lean I am from a place of wealth, From a town known for their scrumptious food and lively entertainment at the Mystery Cafe, The Hills: The only community truly made of gold. |
