Literary Rap Throwdown
|
For this project we made rap videos based on the Epic Rap Battles of History…except with a twist. Instead of making videos based on history, we read books and made Literary Rap Battles. For the rap battles we read a book with a partner. One of us had to take notes based on a positive point of view of the book and the other had to take notes based on a negative point of view. Then after reading the books, we were paired with another group who read a different book from ours. The person who had a negative point of view of the book would team up with the person with the positive point of view from the other book. We then wrote lyrics together about why one book was better than the other (Positive side wrote why their book was great with the help of negative side of the other book who wrote why the other book shouldn't be taught in high school).
I read On The Road by Jack Kerouac. I did not like the book so I took notes, pointing out everything wrong with the book. We teamed up with a group who read Name of the Wind. |
